Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar

Welcome family, friends and Rotarians around the world! Thanks to the generous support of the Rotary Foundation and Rotary International I have been awarded the Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship to continue my studies in Managua, Nicaragua. I welcome you to travel with me and share my adventures, and mis- adventures while adjusting to the culture, continuing my education through my organic beef research project, and fulfilling my ambassadorial duties. Enjoy!

What to say about oneself. I like to think of myself as a person with a passion for life. I like to live fully and I see what life has to offer. To this end I enjoy the arts and traveling in general. Specifically, I like latin dancing, and music from the carribean both english and spanish speaking. I love animals - hence the Vet part. I have a connection with God... that sustains me.

Ambassadorial Scholarship Orientation

This previous weekend there was the orientation for the scholarship. I am so excited. I no longer want to be bothered with school at all. I met so many cool people! I am sure I will never forget Vadim ( the crazy Ukrainian ).
I am in block 16 ( Clinical Pathology) and I am ready to graduate and move on. There is so much to be done before it is time to go.
I need to contact the people I know in Nicaragua and set up contacts for research advisors, I need to apply to the school, I need to send the pictures that I took to the students. I think about them so much. Along with all the other people there.
Sigh... But alas projects are due tomorrow and for the rest of the week. And life calls for other reasons... So I have to put this on hold and be a student. The next post I am sure will not be for a while.
